~T-Shirts and Hoodies Screen Printed in Oakland, California by Nolan Girard at Eat Color Printing https://www.instagram.com/eatcolorprinting/
"In the 80's...I was an avid fan of underground Punk,Metal and Hip Hop .....AND Most of all....Graffiti....Stencils, Paint, Scribes, Grease pens, Wheat paste, etc. After some poor life choices, I gravitated to my punk roots and drums...While attending gigs, I met Mauz....He was in an awesome band called, "Mindrot," and he ran a fanzine called, "Life is Abuse"...he also was into graff...not long after, I met Todd, a bass player for a band called, "Confrontation," and his pockets were loaded with paint pens and mops. I was playing in a band called, "Carcinogen," when we started jamming together...... Long story short..... "Dystopia," was spawned....A few years later we ended up in Europe on tour..... at a squat in Leeds, England, we met a punk named Roberto, who was from Barcelona...a drummer and a really talented Artist.. and also into Graff...Our paths crossed a few more times and we collaborated with him on art for our Final Album. For years, I have always wanted to do a Graff shirt....Not the usual band Logo or Photos we had used, but Graffiti pieces...The front is Roberto's art, the back is mine. On some shirts there is a wheel, it is actually a matrix label that says. "Life is Abuse," Mauz's fanzine that became a record label and fueled Dystopia's releases in the U.S...... Anywhooo.....I left A LOT out of this story....We met many writers in the punk scene, all over the world..in a way, Graffiti helped form Dystopia... and the many relationships with others, that we love and respect......BLANK WALLS.....BLANK MINDS" ~Dino
